Orange Shirt Day - September 30th
September 30, 2025
National Day of Remembrance for Indian Boarding Schools
Today, we wear orange to honor the indigenous children who were taken from their homes and placed in boarding schools under federal policies that sought to erase their culture, language, and identities.
Many never returned, Every Child Matters. We remember the lives lost, the families broken, and the resilience of the native communities.
We stand in solitary, acknowledging the truth and commitment to healing and justice.
